The Gemma Project
In 2012-2013, UMBRAGROUP connected with a family from Foligno who live in Barnaul (Siberia) to support the Gemma Project, which was launched to provide counseling and support to local mothers stricken by poverty, violence, ignorance, and a lack of awareness. Its goal is to reduce abortions, the only escape route for those, like many of these families, who see abortion as the only solution to their problems. This project is run in cooperation with the Foligno Caritas organization.
