A new structure for a hope in the future
This formerly dilapidated group home on the outskirts of Foligno was founded by volunteers who had experienced the precariousness of living through the 1997 earthquake in Umbria. Along with the association La Gomena ONLUS, in 2012 UMBRAGROUP provided for restoration of the roof on the building, which hosts 40 people. The new structure was unveiled on July 7th, 2013.
“A company's job isn't just to create profit; it also needs to share this wealth, first of all among its employees, and then with the community,” said Valter Baldaccini during the unveiling, calling for charity and respect as tangible actions to support one's neighbors.
