Italy’s Day of Liberation
April 25th: Liberation Day celebrates the end of the fascist regime, the Nazi occupation in Italy and the Second World War. It is symbolically recognized on April 25,1945 even though hostilities formally ceased on April 29, 1945 with the unconditional surrender of the German army.
It is officially one of the Italian Republic’s national holidays.
