Company benefits

At UMBRAGROUP we think of company benefits a tool that creates value for employees, their families, and the wider community. The concept has emerged from the process of defining the company's values and is translated into practical tools and services offered not only to employees, but also their families.

Health

When it comes to protecting the health of its employees, their families, and the community, UMBRAGROUP meets the needs of individuals by putting various strategies into practice:

  • Health insurance: UMBRAGROUP offers health insurance that covers all employees and their families. One of the strong points of the health insurance is all-around consideration for prevention and employee health;
  • Supportive therapy: UMBRAGROUP meets the needs of employees who have suffered a family bereavement or unexpected traumatic event causing profound distress by offering them the opportunity to begin a supportive therapy program held at a specialist center;
  • The MAP Project: all our specific initiatives around prevention and wellness have been brought together in the acronym MAP, the road to wellness. MAP includes three areas: exercise, nutrition, and posture. These are the focus of a group of activities which include posture exercises, nutritional counseling, and exercise in indoor and outdoor fitness facilities.

Work-Life Balance

To help balance family needs with work commitments, employees can take advantage of various solutions.

    Varying work hours

    Our offices implement different policies to facilitate employees' work-family balance in accordance with the needs specific to the local area. Among those initiatives are:

    • The opportunity to change one's working hours, even for extended periods, changing the start and end of the workday while keeping to forty hours a week;
    • The opportunity to request part-time work, whether vertical, horizontal, or a mixture of the two, to deal with family needs, for example when returning from maternity leave, while ill, or during a relative's illness.

      The Company Camp

      During the school summer vacation, our day camp for children of permanent and temporary employees welcomes children aged 4 to 13. The camp is open from 8:30 am to 4 pm with a transport service from the company offices. Families can enroll their children at a fee of 50 Euro per week. Enrollment is extremely flexible: families can even choose to enroll their children on a weekly basis. Thanks in part to these programs, we earned a special mention in the 2019 Welfare PMI Index.

        Cafeteria and Services 

        Employees can make use of services offered on company premises with personal trainers, nutritionists, parking lots, and areas set up for meals or food service. 

        In the head office, employees can use services offered in agreement with the employees' recreational club, such as the laundering service, which allows them to drop off laundry and pick it up on company premises. This way, employees save money through the discount agreement with the employees' recreational club, and save the time normally required to drop off and pick up laundry from a cleaners.

        Flexible Benefits

        At UMBRAGROUP, company benefits are designed around employees' needs, and we have always provided a choice of services and benefits. The aim is to increase employees' purchasing power in compliance with the regulations in effect in the various Group locations. 

        For instance, here are two of the best practices followed at the head offices of UMBRAGROUP S.p.A.:

        • Benefits platform: UMBRAGROUP S.p.A. has chosen to invest in integrating company benefits with salary policies, both within collective bargaining and on a company level. Production bonuses can be converted into benefit credits to be spent on a platform of services where employees can purchase vacations, subscriptions, or tickets for cultural and sporting events, as well as request reimbursement of education expenses for their children, or costs for care and assistance provided to elderly or care-dependent relatives;
        • Discount agreements: all UMBRAGROUP S.p.A employees who are members of its employees' recreational club can access a network of discount agreements honored at local businesses, such as supermarkets, banks, gyms, and travel agencies.
