Everyone’s good health is a primary concern
The fundamental UMBRAGROUP value of respect also entails a respect for the individual.
The wellbeing and health of all our workers is not simply a norm, but a creed, because workers are the company’s main resource. And so, starting in 2012, UMBRAGROUP has implemented a system for managing workers’ health and safety that complies with the BS OHSAS 18001 standard, for all its production sites.
MAP: The Path to Wellness
We believe that the protection of health must go beyond what is envisaged by regulations. It must embrace a broader sense of personal wellbeing. UMBRAGROUP has thus launched activities that promote proper lifestyles, not only in the work environment, but also during leisure time and in everyday life.
One example is the MAP: The Path to Wellness project. The aim of the project is to help all employees become aware that adopting a proper lifestyle produces benefits not only for their health, but also for their professional lives.
UMBRAGROUP has also launched other activities, such as:
- improvement of workplace ergonomics – also through the distribution of specific handbooks on posture
- welfare policies focusing on prevention
